Javier Milara: Professional experience.
A. Presentation
I am a transdisciplinary creator with architecture education, and a wide experience as photographer, and graphic & audiovisual designer. As art director, I also design and produce immersive videoinstallations since the year 2000, researching the potential that non-tectonic devices have in the generation of spatial sensations. Last but not less, as a professional visualist, I am specialized in the audiovisual live performing.
Some of my clients have been: the Junta of Extremadura, Junta of Andalusia, the energy company Endesa, the builder Sacyr-Vallehermoso, the Adult Education Association of Extremadura (AUPEX), the Caceres City Council, the Sevilla City Council, the Firenze (Italy) City Council, the University of Seville, the Utzon Center in Aalborg (Denmark), the Biennial of Contemporary Art of Seville (BIACS), the Centre for Contemporary Culture (CCCB), La Casa Encendida (Fundación Caja Madrid), or the Social Forum of Seville, among others.

November 2009. Sevilla, Spain. Performances of live cinema with Hecq and Mahmoud Refat in Hall Hassan II (Fundación Tres Culturas) within LUX 2009, International Festival of Visual and Live Cinema de Sevilla.
25/09/2009. Berlin, Germany. Installation and live performance of the video installation “Jørn Utzon Borealis’ in the Alte Fabrik AEG, as the winner of the popular vote online international prize Celeste Prize, in the category Live Media.
17/09/2009. Sevilla, Spain. Estrato N.1 immersive video installation, in the event Pecha Kucha Night in the Hall of the Rectorate of the University of Seville.
24/07/2009. Sevilla, Spain. Estrato N.1, immersive multimedia installation, in the event 21 degrees, summer nights at the University of Seville, organized by the Cultural Enterprise Centre at the University of Seville.
06/06/2009. Paris, France. Performative visual performance, within the project WikiPlaza, in the event FUTURES DU SEINE.

February to June 2009. Sevilla, Spain. Integral design of the mobile stage area PISTADIGITAL, projector CREARTE winner 2008. Is the design of a video installation at the entrances to the building, the exterior architectural design (in collaboration with James Cirujeda) full corporate design, print advertising and audiovisual, and construction of web space.
13/11/2.008. Sevilla, Spain. Design, production and performance of Red Alighieri video installation as inaugural Public Network Space, winner BIACS Transversal 3, in the courtyard of the College of Arquirtectos of Seville.

10/10/2.008. Aalborg, Denmark. Audiovisual and theatrical design, production, coordination and direct action in the video installation “Jørn Utzon Borealis’ in the Utzon Center in Aalborg Kultur Nacht, an video projector (5700 ANSI lumen), a sound system (1,000 watts) wraparound screens.
May-June 2008. Sevilla. Design and production of ‘Summer Screens 0.1′, projection surfaces Bilindo enclosures for the Board, in the Parque Maria Luisa.
27/06/2008. Sevilla. Live cinema performance with Steve Cobby (Fila Brazillia) at the Pavilion Hassan II (Fundación Tres Culturas) within LUX 2008, International Festival of Visual and Live Cinema de Sevilla.
30/04/2.008. Sevilla. Audiovisual and theatrical design, production, coordination and direct action in MINILAB video installation, made in the Study Goals.
08/02/2.008. Sevilla. Audiovisual and theatrical design, production, coordination and live performance of the video installation ‘U / O’, for the closing of the International Congress of Modern Architecture Teachers: Jørn Utzon, held at the headquarters of the International University of Andalusia’s Monastery Cartuja de Sevilla, a video projector (5700 ANSI lumen), 3 projectors (2000 ANSI lumen), a sound system (1,000 watts), screen enclosure.
2006-2009. Sevilla. Sessions VJing and live cinema in theaters Bilindo (VJ resident), April (VJ resident), Cathedral (VJ resident), B3, Antique Theatre, Domm Disco, Utopia, or Evassion, among others.
January to June 2007. Sevilla. Audiovisual and theatrical design, production, coordination and direct action in the series of video installations ‘Hipercroquis version 0.1′, held in room El Perro Andaluz, 2 projectors (2000 ANSI lumen), a sound system (the hall itself), screens envelopes.
05/30/2006. Sevilla. Live cinema performance with the musical group STENDEC (London) in the Central Theater, in the first international VJ’s LUX 2006
July 2006. Córdoba. Live cinema performance with the group Los Rumbers within the Utopia Festival 2006, in Cordoba.
June 2006. Madrid. Live cinema performance with the group Los Rumbers within the Utopia Festival 2006 in The House On, of the Fundación Caja Madrid.

Stage design and audiovisual production, coordination and direct action in the video installation ‘Preventive War (oilwarss # 2)’, on the processes of neoliberal globalization, which premiered at the Auditorio de Cáceres, conducted with six video projectors, seven computers, DVDs, circuits minutes of video, surround screens.
02/08/2.003. Maimona Saints (Badajoz), Spain. Design, production and coordination of the closing of the 1st Conference for the Art of Extremadura, organized by the Foundation Los Santos, including live DJing, Vjing, concerts of electronic and percussion, and a lounge, 10 computers, 14 projectors, eight slide projectors, three sound systems (8000 watts total), screen enclosure.
10/05/2.003. Cáceres, Spain. Audiovisual and theatrical design, production, coordination and direct action in the video installation ‘Oilwarss: Iraqi People’, within the International Festival of Art and New Technologies Makinarte, held at the Auditorio de Cáceres, with eight video projectors, sound system, DJing, screens envelopes.
12/04/2.003. Don Benito (Badajoz), Spain. Audiovisual and theatrical design, production, coordination and direct action in the video installation ‘vs Free Software. Corporate ‘(within the group TEKKNOBORDERSS) in the Education Fair and New Technologies, held in Don Benito (Badajoz), for technological Albetización Regional Plan of the Board of Extremadura, five video projectors, 10 computers, a sound systems, screens three dimensions with transparency effects. 5000 spectators attended over four days.
20/03/2.003. Florence, Italy. Audiovisual and theatrical design, production, coordination and direct action in the video installation ‘Ur: City One’, held in a Renaissance church desecrated for the International Festival of Contemporary Art and New Media at Florence (Italy), July 2500 ANSI projectors lumen, 12 computers, sound system and projection screens with surround more than 15 meters.
December 2002 – July 2003. Extremadura, Spain. Screenplay, audiovisual and theatrical design, production, coordination and direct action theatrical / performance ‘KharmaZero: burn the Hurdes’, within the Technology Literacy Plan board of Extremadura, with performances in different locations in Extremadura geography; 5 projectors, 15 computers, sound system, stage lights, special effects, three structural sculptures iron concentrations of 3 feet in hand, summer fires charred trees, latex translucent screens, live musical performance, and performance.
December 2002. Castuera (Badajoz), Spain. Audiovisual and theatrical design, production, coordination and action live audiovisual performances envelopes / urban ‘Tele-Vision’ in the collective TEKKNOBORDERSS) held during the celebration of the fifteenth anniversary of the People’s University of Castuera, with 20 computers, 5 2000 ANSI lumen projectors and other outdoor 5,000 for a church projections (projection size: 80 meters), wraparound screens in three dimensions, two sound systems.
08/09/2.002. Mérida (Badajoz), Spain. Visual composition and live performance ‘Linda’ (with help from Sergio Moreno), Extremadura’s Day at the Teatro Romano de Mérida. With a 5500 lumen projector ANSI boat to achieve projections of over 60 meters wide.
20/04/2.002. Cáceres, Spain. Audiovisual and theatrical design, production, coordination and direct action in the video installation ‘Version 3.0′ in the WEWEARBUILDINGS multidisciplinary group for the International Festival of Art and New Technologies Makinarte, in the Auditorium of Caceres. Using four projectors, seven computers, a sound system and surround screens in three dimensions.
December 2001. Castuera (Badajoz), Spain. Audiovisual and theatrical design, production, coordination and live performance of internet-controlled video installation ‘The Ghosts exist’ within the multidisciplinary group WEWEARBUILDINGS in December 2001 at the Cultural Center of Castuera. Run with six video projectors, 20 computers, a sound system, DVDs, 4 TVs, closed circuit video, and screen enclosures (in three dimensions).
October 2001. Barcelona, Spain. Audiovisual and theatrical design, production, coordination and direct action in the video installation ‘wewearbuldings / hackitectura’ (in the group WEWEARBUILDINGS) in October 2001 at the CCCB (Centre de Cultura Contemporanea de Barcelona), in the international architecture exhibition M3 advanced. Made with three projectors, media center prototype, ‘mediatank “(done on purpose) a sound system.
April 2001. Sevilla, Spain. Mounting audiovisual and video installation ‘Power’ (with Pablo de Soto), for the cultural week of the School of Architecture at the University of Seville. Performed using 3 video projectors, four computers, a sound system.
November 2000. Sevilla, Spain. Visual composition and production of short film ‘tekknoborderss’ (with Pablo de Soto), presented at the Foundation FIDAS the College of Architects of Seville, in the island of La Cartuja in Seville.

Is the design of a video installation at the entrances to the building, the exterior architectural design, in collaboration with Santiago Cirujeda, complete corporate design and web site construction.
20/11/2.008. Sevilla, Spain. concept, recording, editing and postproduction of audiovisual content of the video installation of the winning architectural competition for the Plaza Freedoms, won by the studio MGM (Pepe Morales, Sara de Giles, Marshall), within the BIACS 3 in the lobby of the Santa Justa station in Seville.
October 2007. Sevilla. Full corporate design (branding) for the company of lighting, sound and video professional n-Media.
February-March 2007. Design, editing and postproduction of corporate video and DVD for the energy company Endesa.
